Local Knights of Columbus Council Donates $1,000 to The Arc of Union County
Springfield, NJ (August 3rd, 2016) – The Knights of Columbus of Hillside presented a $1,000 check to The Arc of Union County on Thursday, July 28. Together with the council, Grand Knight Andy Wnukowski, organized the charity drive in which chapter members went canning at local stores and collected money from friends and family for this donation.
Each year since 1975, the New Jersey Knights of Columbus hold a “Drive for Persons With Intellectual Disabilities.” In 2014, the Councils raised more than $630,000. The Knights of Columbus is an international organization with more than 1.9 million members and is the world's largest Catholic fraternal service organization.
