Lance And Kovach To Debate Issues In Union County, Oct. 24

Republican Rep. Leonard Lance and Democratic Clinton Mayor Janice Kovach will hold a debate Friday, Oct. 24.

Republican Rep. Leonard Lance and Democratic Clinton Mayor Janice Kovach, who is challenging Lance for New Jersey’s 7th congressional district, will hold a debate Friday, Oct. 24, at the Holiday Inn in Clark. Breakfast begins at 8:00 a.m. and the debate at 8:30. The event is open to the public but registration is requested.

The debate is sponsored by the Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce. The cost is $15 if prepaid by registration and $20 at the door. To register visit:

Lance is seeking his fourth term in Congress. He serves on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the subcommittees on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade, of which he is vice chair; Communications and Technology; and Health. He formerly served in both the New Jersey Senate and Assembly.

Kovach has been Mayor of Clinton since 2008. She also serves as secretary of the New Jersey State Democratic Committee and is a former state administrative official.

The 7th district comprises all of Hunterdon County and parts of Essex, Morris, Somerset, Union and Warren counties.
