Lance Statement on the Obama Administration's Purchase of Heavy Water from Iran

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Leonard Lance (NJ-07), co-chair of the Republican Israel Caucus, issued the following statement on the Obama Administration’s reported $8.6 million purchase of heavy water from Iran:

“Today's report is another example where the Administration appears to be going out of its way to sweeten the nuclear deal for Iran. Despite Iranian missile tests, continued human rights violations and international provocations, the Obama Administration gives Iran whatever it wants with little action in return. Today’s unprecedented concession to the world’s leading state-sponsor of terrorism comes on the heels of the Administration’s willingness to give Iran access to the U.S. dollar. The Obama policy is clear: what Iran wants, Iran gets.”
