Man Assaults, Hits Kenilworth Officer In Eye: Police
Elijahjua Adams, 21, of Piscataway was charged with disorderly conduct, aggravated assault on police, and resisting arrest.

KENILWORTH, NJ — A Piscataway man was arrested for assaulting and hitting a Kenilworth Police Officer in the eye following a disturbance at a local pub, police report.
Elijahjua Adams, 21, of Piscataway was charged with disorderly conduct, aggravated assault on police, and resisting arrest.
Kenilworth Police Officers Valerie Smith, Travis Dilts, and Sgt. Bob Cox went to The Blackthorn Pub at 651 N Michigan Ave. on a report of a disorderly person, later identified as Adams, that was threatening staff on Nov. 17 at 10:31 p.m.

While police tried talking to Adams he got into a fighting stance and tried to assault Cox, police report.
When police tried to arrest Adams for disorderly conduct he reportedly resisted and eventually was brought to the Kenilworth Police Department.

At headquarters, Adams assaulted Dilts by striking him in the eye, police report.
Adams was then pepper sprayed and treated by EMS. Dilts sustained a minor injury and Adams was not hurt.
