Search Is On For Springfield's Pet Of The Week

SUMMIT, NJ — Meet Muffin! He has been chosen as Summit Patch's Pet Of The Week. Nominate your pet for Springfield's Pet of the Week!

"My family would like to nominate as Dog of the Week our 7 year old Cockapoo, Muffin, from Summit. A Cockapoo is a mix of a Cocker Spaniel and a Poodle.

Muffin is a female who is a most intelligent breed that delights in entertaining and caring for her family. She is a most dedicated member of this family.

Muffin is a registered therapy dog, through Creature Comforts, that loves to visit with those in need including those in nursing homes, hospitals and Newark Airport. Muffin loves to post and share her adventures on Instagram as MuffinCockapoo.

At 20 pounds, she loves her daily walks, play fetch with her ball and sleep with her family at night. A most special dog that everyone loves."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
