Sopac Is Springfield's Pet Of The Week

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Meet Sopac! He has been chosen as Springfield Patch's Pet Of The Week.

"Sopac is his name and playing with toys especially balls are his game. He's a 5 year old American Bulldog mix.

Sopac was wandering the streets and captured in the South Orange Performing Arts Center parking lot in 2014. He now lives and rules his block in Springfield.

He loves kids, chasing balls, running around and being the neighborhood watch dog. Sopac hates the rain and wearing his raincoat."

Participating in the Pet of the Week happenings is simple: submit your nomination by emailing alexis.tarrazi@patch.com. Be sure to include a photograph or two of your pet, a paragraph about what makes him or her so great, and the part of town you're from. You can choose to include your name, but you don't need to. Then just keep an eye out for a photo of your pet on the Patch!

The photo can be of a present pet, or it can be a baby picture of the adult pet you're so proud of today.
