Breaking: Newcomer democrat Christopher Capodice won over republican incumbent Geri Ann Bujnowski.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Here are the unofficial results of the 2017 Township Committee and school board.
Township Committee:
In Springfield there were three candidates vying for one three-year seats on the township committee.

Newcomer democrat Christopher Capodice won with 2,034 votes over republican incumbent Geri Ann Bujnowski with 1,769 votes and independent Jeff Rosenberg with 450 votes.
Board of Education:

Marc L. Miller received 1,548 votes and Kristy Rubin got 1,588 votes. They were the only candidates running for the open three, three-year seats.
Results are unofficial until certified by the Union County Clerk and do not include absentee ballots.
