Springfield Firefighters Ask Community To Support Colleague After House Fire

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Members of Springfield FMBA Local 57 are asking the community to support a longtime firefighter whose home was destroyed in a recent fire.

According to the union, the firefighter and his family escaped safely, but the blaze destroyed many of their personal belongings, including clothing and other everyday necessities.

The firefighter has served the Springfield community for more than 25 years.

FMBA Local 57 is accepting monetary donations to help the family with immediate needs. Checks can be made payable to FMBA Local 57, or donations can be sent via Venmo to @Springfield-FMBA with the subject line "Jurczak."

Union officials say every contribution will help the family begin rebuilding after the devastating loss.
