Springfield Hosting Pride Month Celebration, 'Wicked' Screening May 29
Free event at Chisholm Park features rainbow flag raising, guest speakers, live performances and screening of 'Wicked' starting at 6:30 p.m.
SPRINGFIELD, NJ - Springfield Township will celebrate Pride Month with a free outdoor event at Chisholm Park, 100 South Springfield Ave., on Friday, May 29, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The evening opens with a rainbow flag raising, guest speakers and pride giveaways, followed by live musical performances from Taye McQueen, the Jonathan Dayton High School All Stars and Front & Center for Performing Arts.
At 7:30 p.m., the Springfield Recreation Department will screen the 2024 film "Wicked" (rated PG) on a big screen. Free rainbow ice pops and popcorn will be served.

Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and come dressed with pride. In case of rain, the event moves indoors to the Chisholm Community Center.
