Springfield Native and Rising Star Rachel Millman Takes to NYC
Local singer to perform Thursday at Gershwin Hotel.
Springfield native Rachel Millman will be performing at 9 p.m. Thursday at the Gershwin Hotel. There will be a $10 charge at the door of the hotel on E. 27th Steet. Rachel will be performing alongside her band, Traveor Coen (Bass), Joe Izzo (Drums), Brad Whiteley (Keyboards) and Walt Stacey (Guitar).
Millman released an album, "Throwin' Rocks at the Moon," nearly a year ago and has been gaining acclaim among the independent-label music followers. Thursday's performance will include "Throwin' Rocks," "If I Believe," "Waiting for Someday" along with new tracks and covers of some of her favorite songs.
"If you have not heard of Rachel, you probably will sooner or later," said a spokesman for The Gershwin Hotel. "Millman is making her way to the top of the heap in the indie artist arena," they added.
