Springfield Primary 2018: Who's On The Ballot, Where To Vote

Tuesday, June 5 is primary day. Here's a list of who is running and where to vote in Springfield.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — On Tuesday, voters will be heading to the polls to cast their ballots in the primary election. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Locally, in Springfield there are no contested races with two Democrats and two Republicans vying for two three-year township committee seats.

Democrats include: Chris Weber of 53 South Maple Ave. and Alex Keiser of 18 Oakland Ave. Republicans include: Maria Vassallo of 183 Lelak Ave. and Jerome Jerry Fernandez of 393 Hillside Ave.

On the county level, there is a contested race for Democrats with six running for the three three-year Board of Freeholder seats.

Democratic candidates include: Alexander Mirabella of 11 Tillotson Rd., Fanwood; Andrea F. Staten of 223 Victory St., Roselle; Kimberly Mouded, 490 Otisco Dr., Westfield; Alex Lospinoso of 119 Livingston Rd., Linden; Patrick Gargano of 500 Fairway Rd., Linden; and Kaiby Sandoval of 200 N. Park Ave., Linden.

There is no contested race for the Republicans with three running for the three seats. Candidates include: Patricia Quattrocchi of 233 Lexington Blvd., Apt 9, Clark; Joseph R. Sarno III of 658 Willow Ave., 1st Fl, Garwood; and Peter G. Kane of 3 Iris Rd., Summit.

On the congressional level there is a contested race for the 7th Congressional District seat.

The two-year term seat is currently held by Leonard Lance, who has held the seat since 2009. District 7 covers all of Hunterdon County, and parts of Essex, Morris, Somerset, Union, and Warren counties.

  • District 1, 2, 3, 4: Presbyterian Parish House, 37 Church Mall, Lower level off parking lot
  • District 5, 6: James Caldwell School, 36 Caldwell Place, Gym
  • District 7, 8, 9: Florence Gaudineer School, 75 South Springfield Ave., Gym
  • District 10, 13 ,14: Edward V. Walton School, 601 Mountain Ave., Gym
  • District 11, 12: Thelma Sandmeier School, 666 South Springfield Ave., Gym
