Springfield Woman Among 5 Arrested For Shoplifting: Police
Three people were also arrested for DWI and DUI in Watchung.

WATCHUNG, NJ — A Springfield woman was among five people to be arrested for shoplifting in Watchung, according to police.
On Oct. 12 at 12:49 p.m., Jie Li, 57, of Springfield was arrested for Shoplifting women's clothing and a pair of men's shoes, placing them in a plastic bag and tried to exit the store without paying, according to the Watching Police blotter.
The items were valued at $208.99. She was apprehended by Kohl's Loss Prevention.

She was transported to Watchung Police Department Headquarters and issued a summonses.

On Oct. 16 at 12:50 a.m.: Michael Washington, 39, of Piscataway was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Failure to Maintain Lane after police reported he was swaying in the lane on Route 22 West and entering other lanes. He was transported to Watching Police Department and released to his mother.
On Oct. 13 at 12:06 p.m.: Martha Garcia, 37, of Dunellen was arrested for Shoplifting for trying to take four wrenchs and a case of AAA batteries. Garcia placed the items valued at $56.86 into her purse and attempted to leave without paying. She was transported to Watchung Police Department, processed and released on a summonses.
On Oct. 13 at 1:15 a.m.: Deborah Lamble, 51, of Watchung was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Refusal to take a Breath Test, Reckless Driving and Failure to Yield to Pedestrian in Crosswalk. She was processed and released pending a court date.
On Oct. 14 at 11:17 p.m.: Frederick Opio, 56, of Middlesex was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and transported to Watchung Police Department Headquarters, processed and released to his son.
On Oct. 14 at 11:47 p.m.: Fadil Assaf, 30, of Paterson was arrested for having a suspended license and having a warrant out of Elizabeth for $100 following a motor vehicle stop on Somerset Street. He was issued a summonses and released.
On Oct. 11 at 4:53 p.m.: Derrick Devose, 49, of Newark was arrested for Shoplifting a pair of men's Adidas sneakers by putting them on and attempting to leave the store without paying. He was processed and released with a summonses.
On Sept. 28 at 5:18 p.m.: Keeyamah Leonard, 24, of Piscataway was arrested for Shoplifting clothing totaling $327.16 from Kohl's. She placed the items in her purse and attempted to leave the store without paying. She was also found to have $2,800 in warrants. She was processed and released with a summonses.
On Sept. 28 at 5:18 p.m.: Tamika Leonard, 26, of Plainfield was arrested for Shoplifting clothing totaling $327.16 from Kohl's. She placed the items in her purse and attempted to leave the store without paying. She was also found to have $500 in warrants. She was processed and released with a summonses.
