Springfield Woman Arrested For DUI Following Crash
Springfield Police report making multiple arrests for driving under the influence, shoplifting, drug possession, theft and warrants.
SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Springfield Police report making multiple arrests for driving under the influence, shoplifting, drug possession, theft and warrants.

On July 17 – A 45-year-old Kenilworth man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence as a result of a motor vehicle stop on South Springfield Avenue.

On July 17 – A 26-year-old man from Port Jefferson, New York was charged with shoplifting as a result of a Detective Bureau investigation into a shoplifting incident reported by a Route 22 business on June 29.
On July 24 – A 24-year-old Shoreham, New York woman, a 26 year old Shirley, New York man, and a 26 year old Port Jefferson, New York man were charged with theft as a result of a Detective Bureau investigation of a shoplifting incident. The incident had been previously reported on July 15 by a business on Route 22.

On Aug. 2 – Patrol Officers were detailed to a business on Route 22 on a report of shoplifting. An investigation by the Detective Bureau resulted in the arrest of a 24-year-old Jersey City man.
On Aug. 2 – A 51-year-old Springfield woman was arrested and charged with driving under the influence as a result of an investigation of a motor vehicle accident on South Springfield Avenue.
On Aug. 9 – A 20-year-old New York City man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana as a result of a motor vehicle stop on South Springfield Avenue.
On Aug. 13 – A 28-year-old Bethlehem, Pennsylvania man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana after being observed slouched in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle in a Morris Avenue parking lot.
On Aug. 14 – A man observed to be behaving erratically on Ruby Street was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and narcotics paraphernalia. The 53-year-old Plainfield man was also arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Roselle Park.
On Aug. 14 – As a result of an investigation by the Detective Bureau, a 22-year-old Rahway woman was charged in connection with a May 2018 report of theft from a Forest Drive residence.
Six additional arrests were made on outstanding warrants out of Springfield, Plainfield, Irvington, Hammonton Joint, and Jersey City.
