SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Springfield Police reported making multiple arrests recently for shoplifting, underage alcohol possession, marijuana possession, driving under the influence and more.
Springfield Police Blotter:
On May 1: A 51-year-old Newark man was charged with theft following the detective bureau investigation of two April 19 shoplifting incidents at businesses located on Route 22.

On May 4: A 35-year-old West Orange man was arrested and charged with lewdness after urinating on the wall of a building on Mountain Avenue.
On May 5: A 53-year-old Plainfield man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana following a motor vehicle stop on Meisel Avenue.

On May 5: Six 18-year-old Springfield women, one 18-year-old Millburn man, and one 19-year-old Summit man were arrested and charged with underage possession of alcohol.
On May 7: An 18-year-old Springfield man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana following a report of suspicious activity near Meisel Field.
On May 7: Following an investigation by the detective bureau, two Bronx, New York men, ages 46 and 57, were charged with theft. This followed a incident on March 28 where a business located on Route 22 reported two individuals were observed shoplifting.
On May 9: A 30-year-old Mountainside man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence after the vehicle he was operating was observed driving erratically on Route 22.
On May 10: A 21-year-old Union man was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana, as well as outstanding warrants out of Union and East Brunswick as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Route 22.
On May 11: A 50-year-old Springfield man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence as a result of a motor vehicle accident investigation on Stone Hill Road.
On May 14: A 25-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged with criminal mischief following a road rage incident near Mountain Avenue.
On May 15: A 52-year-old Roselle Park man was charged with driving under the influence after the vehicle he was operating was observed stopped in the middle of Victory Road.
Patrol Officers made two additional warrant arrests, both out of Union Township.
