Union County Homicide Under Investigation

The fatal shooting of a 20-year-old Elizabeth man is currently under investigation by police.

Teyvon Ray was found with a gun shoot wound by police in the area of Bond and 2nd streets shortly before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday. He was transported to Trinitas Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later, according to the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. 

The case remains under joint investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force and the Elizabeth Police Department. Anyone with information about the death of Mr. Ray is being urged to contact Prosecutor’s Office Sgt. Jose Vendas at 908-358-3048 or Detective Michael Bowe at 908-514-2080.
