Union County Target Evacuated On Monday After Bomb Threat

A Union County Target was evacuated around 10:50 a.m. on Monday after an anonymous bomb threat was called into the store.

The Target located on Central Avenue in Clark was evacuated around 10:50 a.m. on Monday after an anonymous bomb threat was called into the store.

Shoppers and employees were evacuated for about an hour as the Union County K-9 unit swept the premise, according to nj.com.

The Target store was reopened around 12:40 p.m. after police deemed the area safe.

“At Target, the safety of our guests and team members is always our top priority,” Target corporate representative Laurel Herold told TAP in Westfield in an email. “We will continue to partner with law enforcement as needed during their investigation of this incident.”
