Suspicious Person Prompts Lockdown At Union Twp. School
The Burnet Middle School in Union Township was placed in lockdown due to a report of a suspicious person entering the school, police say.

UNION, NJ — The Burnet Middle School in Union Township was placed in lockdown on Wednesday morning due to a report of a suspicious person having entered the school, police report.
The school went into lockdown at 7 a.m. and numerous Union Township Police Officers responded and cleared the school.
An investigation found that the reported intruder was a newly hired school employee and the incident was deemed to be a misunderstanding, police report.
