Masterson added that a portion of the proceeds will go to help defray the medical expenses of local families affected by ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. The event is dedicated in memory of three family members of Union residents who suffered from the disease: Emilio Delagadillo, Veronica Coakley-Conrad and Thomas Coakley.

“We are so pleased that Union Mayor Manuel Figueiredo chose ALS as our cause this year,” Masterson said. “We encourage our community to come out and help provide assistance to individuals and families affected by this disease.”
