Vintage Jewelry Sale starts Sunday Oct 1 in Springfield
Library Friends Annual Vintage Jewelry Sale begins Sunday afternoon, Oct. 1 at the Springfield Public Library
The Friends of the Springfield Free Public Library will hold their annual Vintage Jewelry Sale Sunday through Tuesday, October 1-3, 2017. Sale hours will be 1-4 Sunday (open earlier at 11am if Town Street Fair is happening), Monday 10 am - 8 pm, and Tuesday 10 am-4 pm at the Springfield Library, 66 Mountain Ave. in Springfield. There will be a wide assortment of costume and fine jewelry and watches offered for sale. All battery-operated watches come with brand new batteries.
The Friends will also have for sale special, French fold note cards showcasing the library's entrance. These cards, first offered back in 1979, are again available for sale as the Friends celebrate their 50th anniversary this year. The cards sell for $10 a box. Friends' members can purchase 3 boxes for $25.
The sale will also include a sampling of coffee table books, CD's, DVD's, audio books, children's books, and other miscellaneous items donated to the Friends. Donations of these items are accepted at the library's Circulation Desk all year long.

The Friends are an independent, tax-exempt organization dedicated to assisting the library and welcomes new members all year long. Memberships start at $10. The next membership meeting will be later in the fall at the library. All fund-raising efforts go toward helping support the library's multitude of special programs and augmenting its limited budget for resources for children and adults.
