Evacuated Students Return To Elizabeth Schools Following Threat
Breaking: Following an extensive search by Elizabeth police on Tuesday, evacuated students and staff were able to return inside.

ELIZABETH, NJ — Students and staff at two Elizabeth schools were able to go back inside following an evacuation Tuesday morning after the district received a threat, Elizabeth Public Schools announced.
"Police have conducted an extensive search throughout the Halsey/Dwyer complex and law enforcement officials have given clearance for all students and staff to return to the Halsey/Dwyer complex," the school announced around 1 p.m.
The initial threat was reported around 11:30 a.m. where students and staff at Admiral William F. Halsey Jr. Health and Public Safety Academy and John E. Dwyer Technology Academy were evacuated.
