SUMMIT, NJ — The city’s new firehouse will host a series of monthly blood drives in partnership with the American Red Cross, giving residents a chance to donate blood throughout the summer.
The drives will take place at 281 Broad Street on the following dates:
Each blood drive is scheduled to run from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Red Cross plans to use the firehouse’s mezzanine area for the events following a recent visit to the building.
Common Council President Claire Toth encouraged residents to take part and visit the city’s new firehouse while donating blood.
“Everyone should give blood if they’re able to, and it’s a great excuse to go visit the firehouse,” Toth said. “So I hope everyone will turn out.”
