1. Dog Park Test Sites Pop Up In Summit (patch.com) — Summit residents and their dogs can now try a temporary pop-up dog park on the Village Green while the city tests possible locations for a new permanent facility. Officials, including Mayor Elizabeth Fagan, are urging locals to visit, then complete an online survey to share feedback that will shape future dog park plans, with Memorial Field expected as another test site.    

2. New Nutrition Program For Women And Children Coming To Summit (patch.com) — Summit families will soon have local access to WIC nutrition benefits and support at the Summit Community Center on Morris Avenue. The new site, run by the Westfield Regional Health Department with RWJBarnabas Health Trinitas, will offer food assistance, breastfeeding help, and health education for eligible women and young children, with flexible weekday, evening, and select Saturday hours.    

3. Loud Noises, Speeding SUV Near Summit Home Under Investigation (patch.com) — Summit police are investigating late-night banging noises and a speeding SUV that damaged a Beacon Road home’s door frame Monday night. Investigators reviewed nearby surveillance video and are asking any residents with information or footage to contact the Summit Police Detective Bureau.    

4. Davies leads No. 2 Summit to dominant win over Bergen Catholic (nj.com subscription) — Summit’s boys lacrosse team, ranked No. 2 in New Jersey, rolled past Bergen Catholic 15–4 behind a huge night from Chris Davies, who tallied six goals and four assists. Several Hilltoppers contributed multi-point performances as Summit controlled possession, built an early lead, and extended its winning streak to five games.
