SUMMIT, NJ — Drivers in Summit should avoid part of Broad Street Friday morning following a crash involving a utility pole, according to police.
The Summit Police Department issued the advisory at approximately 5:57 a.m. Friday, saying Broad Street was closed between Maple Street and Morris Avenue while police and fire crews responded to the crash scene.
Officials said the crash involved a motor vehicle and a utility pole. No additional information about injuries was immediately released.
Police advised drivers to avoid the area and plan alternate routes while the road closure remains in place.
