This year's Summit City Council primary races were uncontested, with each candidate running unopposed for their party's nomination.

Here are the unofficial results for Summit City Council, according to Union County:

Summit City Council

1st Ward (3-Year Term)

2nd Ward (3-Year Term)

While Skoler was originally expected to face a Republican challenger in November, former Councilman Bob Pawlowski resigned from the City Council last month. As of Election Day, Republicans had not publicly announced a nominee to replace Pawlowski on the ballot for the 1st Ward seat.

The Nov. 3 general election is expected to include a contest for the 2nd Ward City Council seat between Seelaus and Boyer.

The New Jersey general election is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Patch will continue updating this story as unofficial election results become available.
