SUMMIT, NJ — Soccer fans in Summit will have a chance to watch the World Cup final together this weekend as the city hosts a downtown championship watch party.
The event will take place Sunday, July 19, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Bank Street Parking Lot, where residents can watch the championship match on a giant outdoor screen.
Summit Downtown, Inc. announced the event, which will also feature the FIFA Mobile Tour bus with merchandise and activities for attendees.
The afternoon will include food trucks, local vendors and a beer and wine garden sponsored by Cambridge Wines and Peerless Beverage Company.
Food options will include Summit’s own Mr. Chi’s hot dog cart, PizzaVita, El Gallo De Oro and Puras Paletas.
Organizers said the event is designed to bring residents together for an afternoon of soccer, entertainment and community.
The event will also feature a performance from Mr. Socks’ World Of Rock.
Whether longtime soccer fans or those simply looking for a summer afternoon activity, residents are invited to join the celebration downtown.
