ESL Classes at The Connection

Classes have resumed for English as a Second Language at The Connection.


The Connection’s small, friendly ESL program for non-native speakers improves conversational skills, increases vocabulary and explores U.S. culture.


 This fall, Connection volunteers are teaching English and providing valuable support services to students from many different countries.  The supportive environment at The Connection helps students achieve their goals.  Beginner through advanced levels are offered to match students’ language skills.

In 1945 The Connection began an English as a Second Language program to serve the influx of newcomers to our country after WWII. The need for this program is as significant now as it was 67 years ago.


To register for the ESL program or to volunteer as a tutor in the program, please call Jane Walbridge at The Connection at 908-273-4242. ext.129. Tutoring hours are flexible:

Mondays & Wednesdays, 9am - 11am
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10am - 12pm
Monday nights, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
