This monthly series will introduce high school students to important basic personal finance concepts they will need to manage their money wisely now and in the future. Each session will have interactive examples and references for further study.
Session 1: Goals and Planning

Topics discussed will include the importance of setting goals, planning and setting a budget.
Session 2: Spending and Sharing

Topics discussed will include income sources such as allowance, part-time and summer jobs, learning to spend wisely, and how to incorporate your values to give back to your community.
Session 3: Saving nd Investing
Topics discussed will include financial instruments such as checking /savings accounts, ATM/Debit cards, and growing your money with investments such as Roth IRA accounts, stocks, bonds and mutual funds.
Session 4: Using Credit Wisely and Insurance
Topics discussed will include learning about building good credit, avoiding identity theft, and a basic understanding of the different types of insurance and why you need it.
Grades: High School, 9th to 12th grades
