Presented by Dianne M. Traflet, Associate Dean and Assistant Professor of Pastoral Theology at Immaculate Conception Seminary School at Seton Hall.
"This is the Truth!” These were the words a young Edith Stein exclaimed after she read the autobiography of St. Teresa of Avila. Immediately afterwards, Edith asked to be baptized. This lecture will explore the impact that St. Teresa had on Edith that particular day and throughout her life as a Catholic lay person and Carmelite nun (Sr. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross). What might St. Teresa be saying to us? How might our lives be transformed through the intercession of St. Teresa of Avila and St. Teresa Benedicta of the Cross?
