NJ Transit Adds More Busing In Summit, Maplewood
During the morning peak period, buses will leave every half-hour from Summit and Maplewood Train Stations along the Morris and Essex Lines.

SUMMIT, NJ — In response to customer requests, New Jersey Transit is adding more busing from Summit and Maplewood stations along the Morris and Essex Lines while trains are diverted to Hoboken this summer due to Amtrak’s repair work.
These stations have been identified as the highest ridership stations along the Morris and Essex Lines, according to NJ Transit.
Beginning July 10, between the morning peak hours of 7 to 9 a.m. only, buses will operate every half-hour from Summit and Maplewood train stations to the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City. Customers will be able to use discounted rail tickets and passes with Hoboken destinations on these buses.

Note: This is morning service inbound to New York only. Customers returning from New York in the afternoon should travel to Hoboken via PATH or NY Waterway ferry for westbound M&E trains or board regularly scheduled buses at PABT.

With additional capacity as demand warrants on:
- #126 bus from Hoboken to PABT
- #108 bus from Newark Penn Station to PABT
- #107 bus from South Orange Station to PABT
