Successful Health and Wellness Panel Discussion Packs the House
B.I.G. Event for women entrepreneurs draws 60 women in Summit

Nearly 60 area women attended the B.I.G. (Believe, Inspire, Grow) Health and Wellness panel discussion on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at Twin Maples, Summit to learn about opportunities in the blossoming industry and to hear presentations by 15 women who have taken the plunge and have started their businesses.
Melanie Wilson, leader of the women’s support, education, and networking group said that this was the first in a series of panel discussions that will explore opportunities for women in various fields. Next topics planned will be Home, followed by Education. “The panel had three purposes,” Wilson said. “First, it gave participants an opportunity to practice and perfect their own ‘elevator pitch’ as they had a unique opportunity to present their success and challenges to all the supportive women in the room. Next, it generated solid sales leads for the panelists It also allowed those thinking about launching a business an opportunity to talk in person with those women who have actually launched careers in the field.”
Participants included Maria Alexander, fitness instructor and owner of Wellness Studio M; Elizabeth Girouard, holistic health coach and owner Pure Simple Wellness; Alexandra Bonett Perez, owner Bari fitness studio; Amy Larson, eating psychology; Louiza Ouazzi, life and leadership coach Accomplishment Coaching; Diane Hogan, spiritual health/financial coach, Intuitive Cents; Sarah Dade, Integrative Wellness Advisors; Etya Novik, Salt Therapy; Camellia Redmerski co-owner Momentum Cycling & Fitness; Lisa Sanderson, holistic health coach; Dr. Yeon Shim, podiatrist; Betsy Stoeber, Brain Balance Achievement Center; Janice Zunde, health and nutrition; Rebecca Ryan, Flavor Your Health, nutrition and health coach; Jodie Pelinsky, consultant Thrive with Jodie, healthy, easy meals.

Each month, B.I.G. offers an educational program for its members and guests. The Summit/New Providence pod has a membership of 75 talented, creative and inspiring members who share business ideas, challenges and suggestions with each other.
