Summit Residents To Amherst And Providence Colleges
Grace Johnson and Margery Keenan, both of Summit, will attend Amherst College and Providence College in the fall, respectively.
SUMMIT, NJ — Two Summit residents were among 67 students to graduate from Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child in Summit during its 89th commencement ceremony on June 11.
The graduates kept with school tradition and donned white gowns and gloves, and carried peach roses.

Johnson, a “lifer” at Oak Knoll after attending the coed elementary school from kindergarten through grade 6 and then the all-girls middle/high school from grades 7-12, was captain of Oak Knoll’s field hockey team, a member of the ice hockey team and co-president of the Knit for the Needy club. She was inducted into the Cum Laude Society and named Scholar Athlete.

Keenan, who attended Oak Knoll for six years, was captain of the varsity swim team, a member of the spring track team, a Campus Ministry representative, Bridges Outreach volunteer and Sacred Heart Camp volunteer. Outside of Oak Knoll, she was a national team member of the YMCA Summit Seals and Sea Girt Beach lifeguard. She was named Most Outstanding Swimmer and Most Valuable Swimmer. She was a 4x100 relay winner in the Prep School Tournament and won second place in the Prep School 200 free.
