Accused Drug Dealer Caught In Teaneck Traffic Stop: Police

Police arrested the man within 1,000 of a Teaneck school, they said.

TEANECK, NJ — An Englewood man was charged with intent to distribute cocaine after being caught with drugs in Teaneck, police said Monday.

Detectives assigned to the Teaneck Police Department's Anti-Crime Unit had "developed information indicating that Kadean Warren was allegedly distributing narcotics in the Teaneck area," police said.

Last Monday, detectives saw Warren, 35, driving near Cedar Lane in Teaneck, police said. They stopped the car because of a possible motor vehicle violation, police said.

Police searched him and found approximately an ounce or 24 grams of suspected crack cocaine, "packaged in a manner consistent with street-level distribution," along with drug paraphernalia, police said.

Warren was also within 1,000 feet of a school, police said.

He was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute within 1,000 feet of a school, and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

He was taken to the Bergen County Corrections and Rehabilitation Center to await a first appearance in Bergen County Superior Court, police said.
