Today's riddle: What is full of holes but still holds water? 🤔 (Answer below!)
1. AMAA to hold 107th Annual Meeting Banquet honoring two distinguished leaders (armenianweekly.com) — A major Armenian community banquet is coming to the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe this October, honoring two longtime faith and community leaders. 2. This video clue could solve two brutal Bergen County 2010 killings (northjersey.com) — Investigators are again asking Teaneck residents to study enhanced video of a man seen near Joan Davis's Teaneck home around her 2010 killing, hoping someone recognizes his heart-emblazoned T‑shirt and satchel. They believe he could unlock answers in two linked Bergen County murders of older women whose homes were set on fire afterward.
3. Bronx Medicaid fraud ring linked to Teaneck home invasion of rivals (northjersey.com) — Federal prosecutors say a Bronx-based Medicaid fraud crew is tied to a violent 2024 home invasion in Teaneck, where masked intruders allegedly zip-tied residents, beat a victim and stole $25,000. The indictment claims the attack targeted a rival fraud-ring leader competing for methadone-clinic patients. One suspect remains at large while three others were arrested Thursday.
4. The Turtle that Dances for Worms Wild Critters USA (pbs.org) — Two young listeners from Teaneck chime into this kid-friendly wildlife podcast with questions about wood turtles and how people can help migrating animals. The episode follows scientists studying a turtle nicknamed Wanda, explains her "worm-stomping" dance, and offers practical tips for families on safely observing and protecting turtles and other wildlife near their homes.
5. NJ-based AI company offering customer protection after data breach (northjersey.com) — A data breach at Teaneck-headquartered tech company Cognizant may have exposed Social Security numbers and other personal details, prompting the firm to notify affected users. The company is offering two years of free credit monitoring, identity-theft help and guidance on placing security freezes to anyone who received its letter after the April incident.
