HACKENSACK, NJ — A pedestrian suffered severe injuries after being hit by a pickup truck outside of the Bergen County Courthouse on Tuesday, police said.
Around 3:50 p.m., Hackensack Police were called to the intersection of Court Street and Main Street for a pedestrian who was hit by a motor vehicle, said Deputy Chief Gregory Zisa.
A 25-year-old Bogota man was reportedly trying to cross Main Street, going West, when he was hit by a 2016 GMC Sierra being driven by a 49-year-old man from Savannah, Georgia, said Zisa.
The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation, said Zisa.
The pedestrian suffered a severe injury to his head and remains in stable condition.
As of Wednesday, the investigation remains ongoing, and no summonses have been issued at this time.
