1,300+ Without Power In Toms River, Traffic Lights Out

TOMS RIVER, NJ — More than 1,300 are without power Friday afternoon in Toms River, according to Jersey Central Power & Light.

Residents reported some traffic lights out in the area of Hooper Avenue and Fischer Boulevard around 1 p.m.

That area has about 1,300 homes and businesses without power, according to the JCP&L outage map. Estimated time of restoration is 3 p.m.

Smaller outages were reported along Route 571.

Crews were being dispatched to the areas Friday afternoon.

The outage cause is pending investigation.
