2018 Beach Badges On Sale For Ortley, Shelter Cove In Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Ignore the snow reports; it's time to think about summer, and that means buying your beach badges.

Beach badges for Ortley Beach and Shelter Cove officially went on sale Monday, the township announced.

Season beach badges are on sale for a preseason rate of $35 and a $15 lifetime access card is available for seniors. Seniors must show proof of age, (you must show proof of age).

Badges can be purchased at the Recreation Administration Office, 1810 Warren Point Road or the Toms River Senior Center located at 652 Garfield Avenue, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The beaches will open on weekends only starting on Saturday, May 26, the beginning of Memorial Day weekend. They will be open daily starting Saturday, June 23.

The township pool will open the weekend of June 16 and 17 and will be open daily starting Friday, June 22.

Fees are waived for all active U.S. military, military reservists and military retirees, their spouses or civil union partners and dependent children. You must present a valid military identification card to receive your beach badge.
