2023 Beach, Pool Badges On Sale In Toms River

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Spring is here, and summer is not far off. If you're thinking about those beach days, you can start preparing by getting your 2023 Toms River Township beach and pool badges.

Badges went on sale Monday, with beach and pool season badges available for purchase at the Toms River Recreation Building, where the pool is located, at 1810 Warren Point Road. Beach badges also can be purchased at the Toms River Senior Center, 652 Garfield Ave., or at the Toms River Township Tax Office, 33 Washington St. All three locations are open 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The beaches open weekends only starting Saturday, May 27, with the start of Memorial Day weekend. Beginning June 17, the beach will be open seven days a week.

Beach hours will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

If the pool is your preference, the Toms River Township pool, at 1810 Warren Point Road, opens daily beginning Saturday, June 24. Pool hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. daily.

The prices for beach badges are as follows:

Full-season badges, for people age 13 and older, are $50 per person through May 29, and increase to $65 per person beginning May 30. Children age 12 or younger are permitted on the beach at no charge.

Toms River sells weekly beach badges for $40; daily beach badges are $11 per person Monday through Friday, and $12 on weekends and holidays.

Senior citizens can get a Senior ID, which offers lifetime access. There is a processing fee for the card.

Pool badges are available now as well. Season passes are $150 for adults who are Toms River residents, $300 for nonresidents. For seniors age 62 and older and children ages 4 to 12, season passes are $75, and nonresident seniors and children are charged $150.

Daily pool badges are $7 for residents, $14 for nonresidents, $5 for seniors and children and $10 for nonresident seniors and children. Weekend badges (and holidays) are $8 for residents, $16 for nonresidents, $6 for seniors and children and $12 for nonresident seniors and children.
