274 Heroin Folds, Cash Seized In Another Toms River Drug Bust: Police

Two people were charged after an investigation that lasted several weeks, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ -- Police seized 274 heroin folds and more than $1,000 in cash and charged two people after an investigation into drug distribution at a local motel, Toms River police said Friday morning.

Glenworth Guiste, 38, of South Toms River, and Alicia Zalewski, 29, of Toms River, were arrested May 6 after a search warrant was executed at the Rodeway Inn on Route 37 east, said Ralph Stocco, spokesman for the Toms River Police Department.

The department's Special Enforcement Team executed the search warrant after investigating drug distribution at the motel for several weeks, Stocco said.

They found 274 wax folds of heroin marked “focused,” a small amount of crack cocaine and more than $1,000 in cash, Stocco said.

Zalewski was charged with possession of heroin and possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, Stocco said. She is being held at the Ocean County Jail, Toms River, in lieu of $15,000 bail, no 10 percent option.

Guiste was charged with possession of heroin, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute and possession of crack cocaine, he said. His bail was set at $25,000, no 10 percent option, Stocco said. Jail records show he has since been released on bail.
