3 Hurt, 1 Critical After Route 70 Crash In Toms River: Police
The crash closed the Route 70-Whitesville Road intersection for more than an hour.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Three people were seriously injured Friday in a crash at Route 70 and Whitesville Road, Toms River police said.
Barbara Bane, 55, of Ocean Gate, was listed in critical condition Friday afternoon at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, said Jillian Messina, media specialist for the Toms River Police Department.
Bane was flown to the hospital.

Her rear-seat passenger, whom police did not identify, and the driver of the other vehicle, Katelynn Kline, 21, of Manchester, were taken by ambulance to Jersey Shore with serious injuries, Messina said.
The crash happened about 9:30 a.m. Bane was westbound on Route 70, attempting to turn left from the left-turn lane on 70 onto Whitesville Road when her vehicle and Kline's vehicle collided, Messina said. Kline was eastbound on Route 70 in the right lane at the time, she said.

The accident is being investigated by Traffic Safety Officer Terry Warren.
