3 Toms River Playgrounds To Get Safety Surface Replacements
The parks will be closed while the work is being completed. Check out the schedule.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Three Toms River playgrounds will have the safety surfaces replaced, forcing the playgrounds to be closed for the work.
The projects begin this weekend, according to the Toms River Parks Buildings & Grounds department.
The work schedule is as follows. Only the playgrounds will be closed during the dates noted :

- Veterans Park playground (Closed from Sept. 8-Sept. 22)
- Riverwood Park playground (Closed from Sept. 22-Oct. 6)
- Castle Park playground (Closed from Oct. 6-Oct. 20)
"The Township thanks you for your patience as we work to make our playgrounds safer for our residents and visitors," the notice from the parks department said.
