31 Unsolved Missing Person's Cases In New Jersey: Who Are They?

John Fernandez is a 22-year-old Middletown man who left behind a suicide note in his bedroom before he went missing on Dec. 13. He had been bullied for years at Middletown High School North, where he was set to graduate in May.

Fernandez joined a long list of missing person cases over the past decade that have gone cold. Thirty-one such cases are listed on the State Police website, which provides the date of last of contact for each person, as well as some personal characteristics.

There are as many as 1,100 people missing in New Jersey, with many of them first listed as long ago as the 1960s and 1970s.
