48 Heroin Bricks, 8 Ounces Of Marijuana Seized In Toms River: PD
Two people were arrested in the apartment raid on Walnut Street, police said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — Authorities seized 48 bricks of heroin, a half-pound of marijuana and cash from a Toms River apartment and arrested two people on Friday following a month-long investigation into heroin distribution in the township, police said Monday.
Louis Stokes, 40, and Tosha Hester, 46, who both lived at the apartment at 47 Walnut Street, were arrested and charged with multiple drug offenses, said Jillian Messina of the Toms River Police Department.
Messina said the 2,400 wax folds of heroin and the marijuana had an estimated the street value of $10,000, and about $700 in cash was seized as well.

Stokes was charged with possession of heroin, possession of over one-half ounce of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of over 50 grams of marijuana, possession of marijuana over 1 ounce with the intent to distribute, and possession with the intent to distribute CDS on school property, she said.
Hester was charged with possession of marijuana over 50 grams, possession of over 1 ounce of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession with the intent to distribute CDS on school property, she said.

The search warrant was executed by the Toms River Police Department Special Enforcement Team with the Toms River Police Department Emergency Services Unit.
Stokes is currently being held at Ocean County Jail awaiting a court appearance. Hester was released on a summons pending a future court date.
