5 Charged In Seaside Heights Drug Bust: Police

The arrests came following an investigation into heroin and cocaine distribution.

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ — Authorities have charged five people with drug distribution and conspiracy following an investigation that led to a search of a Hancock Avenue residence last week, Seaside Heights police said.

Cocaine, heroin and marijuana were seized during a 10 p.m. search on May 16 search by Seaside Heights detectives, officers from the DEA's Atlantic City office, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Strike Force, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K9 units, Detective Steve Korman said. The search warrant was prepared by Seaside Heights Detective Michael McCurdy, he said.

Arrested were Edward Boyer, 37, of Lacey Township; Robert Hudson, 40, of Seaside Heights; and Lisa Grasso, 53, of Seaside Heights. Two suspects who were not at the residence at the time of the search, Cheryl Worman, 40, of Seaside Heights, and Vincent Parker, 32, of Seaside Heights, were arrested later, Korman said.

Boyer was charged with three counts of possession of CDS, two counts of possession of CDS with the intent to distribute, two counts of distribution of CDS, possession of CDS with intent to distribute in a school zone, possession of CDS with intent to distribute in a recreation zone and obstructing the administration of law.

Hudson was charged with two counts of possession of CDS, two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute in a school zone, possession of CDS with intent to distribute in a recreation zone, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Parker, who was arrested May 19 on the 200 block of Hancock Avenue by Patrolman Joseph DiGiovanni, was charged with two counts of possession of CDS, two counts of possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of CDS with intent to distribute in a school zone, possession of CDS with intent to distribute in a recreation zone, possession of CDS paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic syringe.

Worman, who was arrested May 17 at the Mark III Motel by McCurdy, was charged with possession of CDS and conspiracy to distribute.

Grasso was arrested on an outstanding Toms River Municipal Court warrant.

Boyer, Hudson and Parker are being held in the Ocean County Jail, and Worman was released on a summons, Korman said.
