TOMS RIVER, NJ — Five people were injured Monday when a driver ran a stop sign in the North Dover section of Toms River, Toms River police said.

Jane Jusinski, 75, of Toms River, was driving a gray 2024 GMC west on Hickory Street and failed to stop at the stop sign for Vermont Avenue, Lt. Gene Bachonski said.

As she entered the intersection, the GMC hit another vehicle, which was headed south on Vermont Avenue, Bachonski said. The description of the second vehicle and information on its occupants — the driver and three passengers — was not immediately available as the investigation was continuing, he said.
