$50K-Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In Toms River

Someone is holding a little bonus to start the new year.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Toms River for Wednesday's drawing, New Jersey Lottery officials said Thursday.

The ticket for the Jan. 8 drawing matched four of the five white balls and the Powerball, lottery officials said.

The Toms River ticket was sold at BJ's Wholesale Club, 941 Route 37 west.

The winning numbers for the Jan. 8, drawing were: 02, 04, 07, 43 and 56. The Red Power Ball number was 22. The multiplier number was 04.

In addition to the Ocean County ticket, a ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Bergen County, at HK Circle Mini Mart, 411 East Madison Ave., Dumont, and one worth $200,000 was sold in Morris County at Linda's Deli, 248 Main St., Lincoln Park.
