Now through Labor Day, Toms River pet owners will be able to get assistance at the township’s Animal Facility on Wednesday evenings.

The term for cat licenses is June 1-May 31, and they are $9 a spayed/neutered cat and $12 for one that is not spayed/neutered. Dog licenses are renewed each year in January and cost $15 for a spayed/neutered dog and $20 if not spayed or neutered. Cats and dogs require proof of a current rabies shot to be licensed.
“I encourage everyone to visit our new Township Animal Facility on a Wednesday evening, maybe adopt a new pet and get their dog or cat licensed at the same time. Residents can also renew their pet license here,” Township Council President Jeffrey Carr said in a news release.
