Adoption Caturday: Toms River Shelter Offers Cat Adoption Special
If you have been looking to add some purrs (or some barks) to your world, Saturday is your opportunity to do so.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you've been considering adding a furry friend to your family, the Toms River Animal Facility is offering an adoption special to make that easier.
The township-run shelter is holding a special adoption event Saturday, June 24 — or maybe Caturday, is a better word for it — with kittens offered for an adoption fee of $10 and adult cats at no charge.
Dogs aren't left out of the festivities; the adoption fee for the canine friend you've been seeking is $40, the shelter said.

The reduced fees will be in place through the end of June. Same-day adoptions will be available, officials said. If you like one, fill out an application to meet your new friend. If you like him/her you can adopt them same day, or schedule an appointment for a better time.
All cats have been FIV/Felv tested, dewormed, and have received their first distemper vaccines, officials said.
