Airborne Car Smashes Fence, Lands On Jaguar In Toms River: Police
The driver, a Bayville woman, is facing charges in connection with the crash, police said.
TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Bayville woman has been charged with careless driving after her car went airborne, smashed a fence and wound up on its roof on top of a Jaguar parked behind the fence, Toms River police said Wednesday.
Pauline English, 51, suffered a cut on top of her head in the crash that happened about 3:35 p.m., said Jillian Messina, media specialist for the Toms River Police Department.
English was driving north on Oak Ridge Parkway when her car, a 2006 Hyundai Elantra, left the road, Messina said.

The car hit the curb, then hit a fire hydrant and a street sign, traveled across Sun Valley Road, hit another curb and vaulted into the air, clearing a fence on the corner of the property at Sun Valley Road and Oak Ridge Parkway before landing, overturned, on a 2000 Jaguar, which was behind the fence, Messina said.
English was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center by Silverton Volunteer EMS ambulance as a precaution. She was cited for careless driving and driving with an expired license, Messina said.

The accident is being investigated by Toms River Traffic Safety David Bartoshek.
