Aldi Fans, Rejoice; Toms River Store Has Reopened
The grocery store had been closed for months undergoing renovations.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — If you have been patiently — or not so patiently — waiting for the renovations at Aldi on Route 37 to be completed, your wait is over at last.
Aldi has finally reopened after extensive renovations that began in April and involved gutting what existed and redoing the entie interior. Its first day back in operation was Thursday/
"The remodeled store will feature a modern and convenient layout that focuses on what people love most: fresh food, produce, dairy and baked goods," Bob Grammer, vice president of Aldi's central valley division, said in an April statement about the project. "The updated Toms River store will also feature open ceilings. natural lighting and environmentally friendly building materials.""

The store at 740 Route 37 west is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, according to the company's website.
Aldi, based in Germany, has been expanding throughout the U.S. and added more 250 jobs in New Jersey since October 2017. It operates more than 1,750 stores in 35 states, and plans to increase store count to 2,500 locations and create 25,000 jobs by 2022.
