SURF CITY – Join us for an introduction to acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, a system of healing that has supported the body for thousands of years, during “The Power of Qi” at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23 at the Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library.
In this informative talk, learn how acupuncture works, what it treats, and how it helps restore balance, improve energy, and support overall health. Explore how stress, lifestyle, and daily habits impact the body, and how simple shifts can make a meaningful difference. To close, there will be an optional, gentle Qigong session – an easy, flowing practice that helps move energy, calm the mind, and reconnect you to your body.
Dr. Taryn Parascand of Blessed Roots Wellness will present the program. Dr. Taryn has been learning, practicing, and teaching in the holistic medicine field for 20 years. Attendees can sign up for email updates and be entered into a raffle for a sauna session.
Registration is required for this free program. To register, visit tinyurl.com/QiLBI, call 609-494-2480, or stop by the branch at 217 South Central Ave., Surf City. Registration will open June 2. Space is limited.
